Week 22

It's been a volatile negative week for the markets. Our portfolio has made marginal gains compared to last week. Our Portfolio now has an overall gain of 10%.

We have 6 stocks with positive gains above 20% and ADANIENT is at 42% positive gains. We also have 5 stocks with negative returns with BEL being down by 25%. Still, none of our picks have hit the first milestone although we are close with ADANENT.

This is how our portfolio looks as of now:

No new additions to the portfolio this week since we have met our quota of 20 stocks.

With this, I conclude this week's rant.

Week 19

A big negative week for the market. A drop of 300 points in NIFTY in a single day after the disappointing budget. Our portfolio too took a massive hit with the overall gains reducing to just 93%. Unrealized gains now stand at 5%

We now have 9 stocks in red and 5 stocks above the 20% mark in green. Still, none of our selection has hit the first milestone hence we continue with our portfolio as it is.

This is how our portfolio looks as of now:

No new additions to the portfolio this week since we have met our quota of 20 stocks.

With this, I conclude this week's rant.

Week 18

A very volatile week, at one point we saw NIFTY going down all the way to 12087 levels only to recover and close the week at 12248. Still, it has been a negative week for the market.

Not for our portfolio though, we now have the overall gains of our portfolio at 200% where the portfolio returns is 10%.

10% returns in 17 weeks is not a trivial matter, although I suspect this is only as a side effect of the general bullish trend in the market and the midcaps recovery in the anticipation of the upcoming budget. Just like any portfolio, the actual test of our portfolio will be during bearish markets, until then let's just celebrate seeing the superficial paper gains.

We now have 9 stocks with double-digit returns 2 of which are at 30% levels, closer to our first milestone there.

This is how our portfolio looks now:

No new additions to the portfolio this week since we have met our quota of 20 stocks.

With this, I conclude this week's rant.

Week 17

A positive week for Nifty, a very positive week for our portfolio. The overall gains for our portfolio now stand at 144% while we made actual gains of 8%.

We now have 6 stocks above 20% and 6 stocks at red. Still, no stock has hit the first milestone.

No taking action this week too.

This is how our portfolio looks as of now:

No new additions to the portfolio this week since we have met our quota of 20 stocks.

With this, I conclude this week's rant.

Week 16

This week has been a positive for the market although it did have a small correction on Monday due to US-Iran tensions, it eventually recovered to have positive close by the end of the week.

Whatever the market does, what's important for us is how our portfolio behaves. On the very outset, we still do not have any stocks hitting neither the positive milestone nor the negative milestone of 50% yet so we are still not taking any actions this week.

Overall the portfolio is at a huge positive. We have 5 stocks with gains above 15% and one stock with a loss above 10%.

I have realized my error of publishing the total percentage gains as portfolio gains so I am adding a new column to our google sheet to track actual gains in our portfolio.

With this, we can accurately say that our portfolio has gained 4.56%

This is how the portfolio looks now:

No new additions to the portfolio this week since we have met our quota of 20 stocks.

With this, I conclude this week's rant.
